Hi Ezequiel, Please find below answer with respected questions: Which objects can be created in a different scope than the Global one and which can only be created in the Global Scope? Ans: There is no limitation as as such on object level. You can create object in any scope if you have its respected template in the same scope. Objects with the same Number and Revision can be created in different Scopes, what are the implications of that? What is the recommended approach in this case? Ans: Documents and other few objects can have the exact same document code on different documents in different scopes but You can't have the same physical item code applied to different physical items in different scopes because they are not qualified for Namespace. Scope pros and cons? Scope limitations? In what cases/scenarios are scopes used for? Ans: Scopes can only be created when the Global scope is selected as the Default Scope and if a Person is granted with the ‘Maintain List Values/Scopes’ permission to maintain Scopes, can only create the scope. There are no Pros and Cons though we do have limitations which is actually there for security. Like if you have two users A and B and give permission for two different scopes created under global scope X and Y respectively. So, user A and B cannot modify each others document created under respective scope due to permissions. Thats the actually idea behind creating the scopes. Though they are able to view/modify objects created in Global scope. Hope that gives you required answer on Scopes. Please let us know if you still need more information on Scope for any particular reason.
