Alex Talbott File plans move files, not documents. The document remains, the copy remains, and the file is moved from its current repository to the archive repository specified in the file plan. There are semantics associated with the move resulting (if I remember correctly) in status changes (on the Copy object, for instance) that might be at odds with your objectives, which are unknown to me. You'll have to do some testing to see the impact of such a move.
