Dear Bentley, I would very much appreciate assistance. We have an issue whereby some 80,000 documents require an attribute to be populated called GRIP Stage. It is a mandatory attribute therefore required to approve these documents. Being familiar with the Bulk Import process, it appears to me that the best way of updating these is by creating a spreadsheet listing the documents with their core attributes, and with a column with the GRIP Stage values required. My understanding is that the Bulk Import will overwrite any attributes with new data from the Excel listing. A number of upload spreadsheets could therefore be used to update all 80,000 documents efficiently. When I run the import with this .ini file the import completes successfully, with no errors or rejections, however the attribute is not populated. GRIP Stage is a picklist attribute so I have also tested it using a value not in the system and this correctly throws an error, but I can't see why the GRIP Stage attribute does not populate from my import when no error is thrown. In the Bulk Import editor for this .ini file I have tested checking and unchecking the box 'Retain values when updating, copying and revising document', however this doesn't seem to make any difference and the attribute is still not populated. Would it be possible therefore to advise how to troubleshoot and configure this import? Alternatively, whether there is a better way of populating this attribute on such a large number of affected records. Completing this task will have a significant business benefit to our eB community. I do not want to use the provisioning spreadsheet. many thanks C
